1. Letter from Edward to Linda

   It's amazing my love.  The sky is clear, there is no smog, no cars, no face masks.  I feel like I can breathe for the first time in years, literally and figuratively.  I'm not sure what we would find on the other side of the Virtuverse.  I was supposed to go into a deep sleep I was told, only awakened when you, or the scientes, loaded my consciousness into the hologram projector.  But, there's a whole world here, with it's own flora and fauna, it's own stars, sun, and sky.  I saw a cave nearby.  I'm going to try and find some shelter from the coming storm.  I love you, and will see you soon.

2. Letter from Edward to Linda

3. Letter from Jessica Grevon

 Whomever it may concern,


   I don't know who will find this letter, or if it will ever be found.  If it is, my name is JEssica Grevon, and I am patient 3 of 20 of the Virtuverse Transfer Program.  I don't know if this is right ot wrong, but we are on an alien world. We were told that we'd enter a deep sleep until we were summoned by the holographic projector, but what we found on the other side was, in a word, hell.  Our ailments were wiped clean, the terminal illnesses that brough ut to the Virtuverse Company do not exist for us here.  My headaches are gone, the cancer is gone, but a new horror greeted us on the otherside of the machine.
   We arrived at night, together in a circle, surrounding a strange stone obelisk.  The sky wasn't our own.  There were strange stars, no familiar constellations, and the air smelled... different.  That's when the monsters attacked, strange canine like creatures.  We ran, but at least 11 were killed that first night.  I can still hear the screams, and howls, the snapping of teeth, the crunch of bones in the night.  I hid in a tree until daylight, but didn't see any of the others when I climbed down.
   I don't understand what happened... I thought we were supposed to be safe here.  I thought we would live forever in the server.  I'm scared Daddy.  I need you.

   I can't believe you signed me up for the Virtuverse Program!  I wasn't completely a vegetable in that coma, and I know you were still writing that science fiction novel.  Did you think this would be good research?  Your own mother in a virtual consciousness? Well, it wasn't a computer I was sent to, it was a whole world, and as soon as I find a way back to Earth your inheritance is gone Evan!
