- Andsim Wardrez: I told that representative I don't have time to - Oh, a Colonist. Sorry about that, friend; we're short-handed and I've got 3 broken mining lasers and an entire hill to take down. It's so bad, we've had to start using energy drills! I take it you're here to get your Mining Certification?
- [Player]: Yes Sir!
- Andsim Wardrez: Alright then, I've only got one working Mining Laser left for Certification purposes. You can find it behind you and over by the bins in one of the crates there on the same level we're standing at, come back with that and we'll get you started with mining.

- Andsim Wardrez: Great, the next thing you'll need is a Scanner and some Advanced Energy Cells. The scanner uses these more advanced cells to power is internal circuitry which scans for resources at a high frequency.
